BACEI SpA was founded by Oiltec Group, and Boots & Coots Well Control Inc. The two companies combined forces aiming to facilitate the development and implementation of risk management systems within the petroleum industry. In 2005, BACEI SpA and Boots & Coots Well Control Inc. separated amicably in order to allow each company to develop their own core business.

In 2006, BACEI and Cudd Well Control (www.cuddwellcontrol.com) - a leading International Well Control Company - formed a strategic alliance to provide combined services under a single source. BACEI SpA is a Leader HSE & Loss Prevention International Company. The unique ICAPP program takes advantage of the combination of the specific experience in E&P Loss Prevention and in Well Control. The added value in the ICAPP solutions is to reduce the risks (for people, assets, environment and reputation) in E&P projects.

BACEI SpA utilizes multi-disciplined and analytical approach for both new developments and modifications to existing installations in respect to plant and facilities, with an initial focus mainly on regulations, codes and standards. However, in many cases the adoption of codes and standards to the letter may not be appropriate. In order to provide the most appropriate solution, with an eye on cost-effectiveness impact, we have successfully interpreted and, in some cases, extended the forms of these codes and demonstrated that acceptable levels of risk can be achieved by an objective setting approach to Health and Safety.
