BACEI SpA offers high quality safety and risk management and comprehensive safety engineering consultancy services to their Clients worldwide. We can help our Clients develop Risk Management Plans that allocate accountability for actions. We can also assist in setting up reporting systems to enable senior management to monitor and manage progress and to ensure compliance.
We continuously search, study and confront various approaches to the development of Risk Management Plans: Project Risk Assessment, HAZOP, HAZID, 3D Risk Matrix, Fault Tree Analysis, Markov Analysis, Event Tree Analysis are only some of the tools of our approach, so that we can meet the clients' requirements case by case.

Our study system is based on the identification of potential hazards and operational deviations, and a comprehensive study of the project in order to acquire in-depth knowledge of all critical situations, so that we can establish their causes and consequences, evaluate the likelihood of occurrence and assess these factors against corporate or regulatory criteria. The objective in all cases is to produce results that clearly demonstrate why an acceptable level of risk, safety or operational performance exists, and how it can be achieved.

Loss Prevention Technology & Well Control Experience for the E&P Industry

BACEI SpA and Cudd Well Control have formed a strategic alliance to provide combined services under a single source.

The blowout incident is the top loss event in the E&P industry. Lessons learnt from blowouts are fundamental to prevent future incidents and safety must be part of a project from the initial stages. Since 70 to 90 % of the design decisions that affect safety are taken in early phases of a drilling project, be it new installations, new rigs, or well design, loss prevention is primary building block in safety, not an add-on it on to a completed design. Special focus needs to be given to safety critical equipment (BOP, Safety Valves etc.), competence and human factors as they all are extremely important factors in E&P safety.
The unique ICAPP program takes advantage of the combination of the specific experience in E&P Loss Prevention and in Well Control.
